General Features
In order to encourage investments in long-term private projects in the country, the Federal Government extended the favored tax treatment provided for in Law 12.431 to quotas of investment funds in credit rights in the case of resources destined to investment projects (mainly infrastructure ) according to the law.
The FIDC-IE was created with the objective of using the infrastructure debentures issued to finance private investment projects in the infrastructure sector of public interest in the areas of energy, transport, water, basic sanitation and irrigation.
